Parish Pantry: Supporting Our Neighbors with Love and Care

St. Matthew's Parish Pantry is one of the ways our parish seeks to live the Gospel as expressed by Jesus, “I was a stranger and you welcomed me.”    Our ministry is rooted in the Church’s call to serve Christ to those who are in need, with compassion, dignity, and prayer.

We serve our community through:

  • Financial assistance- annual support offered to individuals and families facing significant need.
  • Thanksgiving Basket Program- providing meals for families in our community, enabling them to celebrate the holiday with a shared meal.
  • An in‑house food pantry-offering food to anyone in need, no questions asked.
  • Monthly service at the community soup kitchen- preparing and serving meals to our community.
  • Lenten Brown Bag project- actively participating in the Corporal Works of Mercy

Prayer is essential to our mission. We pray with those who seek spiritual support, and we lift all who come to us in prayer during our weekly committee meetings, entrusting their needs to the Lord.

This ministry is sustained entirely through the generosity of our parish community. Your offerings, prayers, and support allow us to respond with compassion and practical support when our neighbors turn to the Church for help.
