Liturgical and Music Ministry is the service of assisting with the Church’s worship, especially at Mass and the sacraments. Through roles such as lectors, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, altar servers, sacristans, ushers, and music ministers, parishioners help create a prayerful, welcoming, and reverent liturgical celebration. Liturgical ministry is a way to serve God and the parish community by supporting the full and active participation of all who gather to worship.
